The 21st century is remembered for countless incredible reasons including the leaps in technological development. Marvels that were birthed during this remarkable era range from the microwave oven, space rockets, and the desktop computer, to smartphones, Bluetooth, email, GPS, the CDC, the DVD, touch screens, gaming consoles, drones,
and the artificial heart. The wonder of electricity and the telephone were thought of to be magic the humans did the unfathomable and broke the sound barrier. In the recent past all of these would have been dismissed as pipe dreams or imaginative details of captivating science fiction stories.
The 21st century was filled with wonder that continues through to the present day. In today’s world we are surrounded by new advances in technology and engage with multiple devices through to course of our day to day lives. We use our smart devices for our daily dose of entertainment through to managing our work and private calendars. With the mobile phone you can order takeout, call a cab, listen to music, watch the news, and buy tickets to an event. It wakes you up, reminds you to drink water, and tells you to walk another 100 steps to reach the daily activity goal. This reality was something unthinkable in the early 21st century.
One of the biggest inventions of the 21st century was undoubtedly the internet and with that the development and phenomenon of social media. Children that went to school in the 90s didn't have the option to go to uni to study digital marketing, it hadn't been invented yet. Other inventions from the 21st century innovative pool include self driving cars, 3D printing, virtual reality, and fibre optics. Fibre optics is a big one. The dial up days are so very far gone. There is no doubt that there will be incredible developments in these arenas going into the future.
